currently, of date of post, have run cli command snap refresh update snap packages, manually. does canonical have plans snap packages update automatically through software centre non-snap packages do? by default snapd auto-updates snaps. check output of sudo journalctl -u snapd.refresh.service to see how last updates went. note: documentation feature available here , needs update ( bug 1636383 ).

so, issue have chromebook crouton running on it. i've been using browser extension connect pre-set vpn avoid network's filters. but, 2 things happening i'm not sure how around/handle. the extension tunnels traffic browser, , not external applications/processes. if enable extension on chrome in chromeos environment, works in environment not ubuntu one, , vice-versa (so each environment has own separate instance). my main issue first point because want use ssh connect vps because can't on network use lot (and don't want use mobile hotspot.) included second point because i'm not sure environment should let handle network settings vpn tunneling or if conflict @ all. overall, want find way around network filters connect via ssh vps. can through desktop client or custom configurations, prefer not set own vpn server. i'd able along same lines using pre-set 1 in chrome extension. have ubuntu 14.04 unity desktop environment installed. update : have in...
