how copy , paste in xterm using ctrl+c , and ctrl+v windows in ubuntu 16.04 ? (using codeblocks)

i've no clue xterm if choose terminal instead (which superiour application anyway) corresponding shortcuts shift+ctrl-c , shift+ctrl-v respectively.
