How to see remote desktop setup - Ask Ubuntu


i trying setup remote desktop on linux ubuntu 14.04. first thing need enable remote desktop. cannot find setting under system of system settings.

what need able see setup?

press windows button on keyboard, type remote in box , can see remote desktop icon (bash -> desktop sharing), can give permissions others view desktop.

turning ubuntu remote desktop on

simply put, turning on ubuntu’s version of remote desktop not easier. don’t need install thing: need built in. click “settings,” “preferences,” “remote desktop.” you’ll presented simple window of options.

just check “allow other users view desktop” button. if want other users able control computer, click “allow other users control desktop” button.

this window provides couple of security options. it’s highly recommended enable password, @ least should set connecting machine needs permission before continuing.

as enable remote connection you’ll told ip address on local network. write down.

ubuntu’s remote desktop technology based on existing vnc standard. means can connect ubuntu remote desktop using vnc client. there more few vnc clients around, if have favorite on platform can use connect ubuntu already.

ubuntu, , linux distributions, comes excellent vnc-compatible remote desktop viewer default: vinagre. can find program clicking “applications,” “internet,” “remote desktop viewer.” open , you’ll see desktops can open on current network. if not, can enter ip want connect directly.

use tool connect other ubuntu desktops on network , you’ll controlling computer remotely. nifty, right? tool can used control computer vnc client installed.

windows - "-2146893807 NTE_NOT_FOUND" when repair certificate store - Super User

i try repair certificate store in windows 10 doing c:\windows\system32>certutil -store -user ‎330000019dba8d5dddb98062a900000000019d "personal" certutil: -store command failed: 0x80090011 (-2146893807 nte_not_found) certutil: object not found. i have double check mmc, certificate details serial number of certificate. still fail repair certificate store. can please help? i getting same error when trying export pfx. turns out had export c:\cert.pfx instead of cert.pfx (it trying export file cert store ( cert:\localmachine\my ).
