boot - lvmetad is not active yet; using direct activation during sysinit / still not solved - Ask Ubuntu


after upgrading ubuntu 16 get: lvmetad not active yet; using direct activation during sysinit

the (google) proposed solution not working, ruins display resolution.

/etc/default/grub, change: grub_cmdline_linux_default="quiet splash" grub_cmdline_linux_default="nomodeset" add line: grub_terminal_input="console serial"  run sudo update-grub , reboot changes take effect.

the booting process stops.

ctrl+alt+f2 gives me prompt disks mounted read-only

after login a:

mount -o remount, rw /

the booting continues , systems starts normal.

any hints working solution appreciated

changed boot upstart default , working okay now.

drivers - No wi-fi network after install - Ask Ubuntu

i installed ubuntu 16:10 on xiaomi air 13 "uncommon device know" i'm not able see wifi connection. problem occurred right after install, since before "during try ubuntu , installation" able see , connect w/out problem. if go settings -> network i'm not able turn on wifi "it switch off turn on". nothing in software , update -> more driver. what should ? :c edit:i able fix metod here wi-fi drivers laptop xiaomi air 13 but can't find programm/app on ubuntu software c. "like geany". problem somehow related fix found ?
