i've tried installing 16.10 skip kernel problem there have different problem mouse doesn't work during install.

you can install yakkety yakk kernel 4.8.0.25 this:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:canonical-kernel-team/ppa sudo apt update sudo apt install linux-image-generic-lts-yakkety

this allow updates come via software updater.

if don't it, can uninstall this:

sudo apt-get install ppa-purge (if don't have it) sudo apt purge linux-image-generic-lts-yakkety sudo ppa-purge ppa:canonical-kernel-team/ppa

i've been using time no problems.
