networking - WLAN RTL8723BE frequently disconnects - Ask Ubuntu
i using ubuntu 16.04 , wireless card rtl8723be.
i have tried 3 laptops now, lenovo b50-45, lenovo b50-50 , hp 350 g2. have wireless card rtl8723be integrated , had same issue - wlan disconnects , after disconnection cannot connect again. not find other router connect to. solution found make restart.
i aware of question how realtek rtl8723be wireless card work? , followed instruction of answer, installing new driver. however, on 3 laptops did not solve problem. tried suggested add
echo "options rtl8723be ant_sel=2" | sudo tee /etc/modprobe.d/rtl8723be.conf
but did not help. worse, when adding line not connect router, had remove again.
i had windows 10 on hp laptop , on windows 10 there no connection errors. don't think router problem.

what else try wireless card working?
linux not support card , never will. have same wifi card too,i tried , yet still doesn't work latest kernel. card more 2 years old. don't think support anytime soon. tried external wifi cards,none of them did work,the kernel keeps enabling rtl8723be. advice stay on windows or buy new laptop.
