How to enable Desktop Settings > Wallpaper > Layout in Kubuntu 16.04 - Ask Ubuntu


after upgrading kubuntu 14.04 16.04, i'm unable desktop folder display on desktop. believe correct way is:

  1. right click on desktop
  2. desktop settings
  3. wallpaper
  4. layout: folder view

however, layout option set "desktop", , "desktop" option disabled, can't change it.

how can reenable folder view option?

in order enable option "folder view", before doing steps must set option "unlock widgets". click right button in widget, instance have date, , chose "unlock widgets".

after that, steps have mentioned shall work.

Windows XP installation, no previous version of Windows NT - Super User
