i have chrome book. hp chromebook 14. want install ubuntu on it. no dual booting. simple ubuntu. there way?

i recommend taking @ galliumos. it's based on xubuntu 16.04 modifications run better on chromebooks, such special kernel patches audio support. linked above hardware compatibility chart detailing chromebooks compatible galliumos, , steps needed install it.
