Disable Hyperthreading, p-state and c-state drivers and CPU frequency scaling - Ask Ubuntu


i trying disable de p-state , c-state drivers on desktop, did described in topic: disable cpu frequency scaling

then changed grub-file:

grub_cmdline_linux_default="quiet splash intel_pstate=disable processor.max_cstate=1 intel_idle.max_cstate=0 idle=poll" 

and after updated grub , added governor="performance" in cpufrequtils file.

besides, did aforementioned in computer , working(i think), expected output cpufreq-info:

pc changes took effect

and here output on one:

pc changes ignored

in end looks computer ignoring changes i'm doing, idea why?

moreover uname-a displays following:

in pc i'm trying change: linux oai-test1 4.4.0-31-generic #50~14.04.1-ubuntu smp wed jul 13 01:07:32 utc 2016 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 gnu/linux

in pc changes took effect: linux oai-test2 3.19.0-61-lowlatency #69~14.04.1-ubuntu smp preempt thu jun 9 10:15:00 utc 2016 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 gnu/linux
