wireless - Broadcom STA + live USB? - Ask Ubuntu


i carry live 16.04 usb drive around use on various computers, , trying use on machine requires broadcom sta driver wi-fi card.

however, since it's live usb, rebooting after using ethernet install driver... think can see problem there :)

so, how can load broadcom sta driver without rebooting?

the broadcom sta driver, known bcmwl-kernel-source, dependency dkms, resides on live session. should able go software , updates > additional drivers , install it. although haven't broadcom wireless device , cannot test, suspect wireless work immediately.

drivers - No wi-fi network after install - Ask Ubuntu

i installed ubuntu 16:10 on xiaomi air 13 "uncommon device know" i'm not able see wifi connection. problem occurred right after install, since before "during try ubuntu , installation" able see , connect w/out problem. if go settings -> network i'm not able turn on wifi "it switch off turn on". nothing in software , update -> more driver. what should ? :c edit:i able fix metod here wi-fi drivers laptop xiaomi air 13 but can't find programm/app on ubuntu software c. "like geany". problem somehow related fix found ?
