16.04 - Dual Boot - Booting Ubuntu brings me to Grub Command Line - New User - Ask Ubuntu

i have asus x55 (intel(r) core i5-5200 cpu @ 2.20ghz 8gb ram) have windows 10 , version 1607.
last week had ubuntu running on computer buggy decided remove , try re install it. removed it, having extreme difficulty trying put on. i've watched countless youtube installation videos , tried rufus , uui , still cant work. i've spent 2-3 hours trying solve this. new ubuntu im hoping community can me 1 can pay forward further down line.
i checked hashes ubuntu 16.04.1 iso , fine
when write iso usb , attempt boot usb using (settings >update , security > recovery > advanced startup) brought grub prompt grub>.
what heck can fix ? beginning irritate me because have no idea can google remedy problem.
any appreciated !
i have tried booting bios , changing boot order ubuntu #1 brings same problem outlined above.

you have windows 10 on computer if understand you,you want install ubuntu 16.04 on partition , had on once. in windows 10 open control panel click on administrative tools on window click computer management once in there click disc management. if don't see it,click arrow infront of storage,once see click disk management.wait drive show part c: should windows 10 partition want ubuntu go should re formated make clean installing ubuntu. if thats not right let know.if have installed ubuntu 16.04 second drive reformat try clean reinstall.
