change read only permissions of Ubuntu internal drive as external drive - Ask Ubuntu


i have old laptop ubuntu , somehow got crashed , got internal hard drive out of use external drive. here comes hiccup, drive read-only , can't change ownership. have tried chmod , chown already.

chown outputs input/output error!
