Empty Grub screen on boot - Ask Ubuntu


i have ubuntu 16.04 (with gnome 3) installed on acer aspire v nitro, alongside windows 10. installation fine when boot system loads empty grub screen. while stuck there guided this. solved issue except last step in solution, sudo update-grub command, didn't work.

so each time want load either 1 of os's have manually go through solutions in linked thread.

is there better solution issue? , why isn't sudo update-grub solving issue?

edit: sudo update-grub outputs following:

generating grub config file... warning: setting grub non 0 timeout value... found linux image: path found intird image: path found windows boot manager: path adding boot menu entry efi firmware done

in case of corruption of grub, should try reinstall grub command sudo grub-install /dev/sda replacing sda hdd while booted operating system. next run sudo update-grub

windows - "-2146893807 NTE_NOT_FOUND" when repair certificate store - Super User

i try repair certificate store in windows 10 doing c:\windows\system32>certutil -store -user ‎330000019dba8d5dddb98062a900000000019d "personal" certutil: -store command failed: 0x80090011 (-2146893807 nte_not_found) certutil: object not found. i have double check mmc, certificate details serial number of certificate. still fail repair certificate store. can please help? i getting same error when trying export pfx. turns out had export c:\cert.pfx instead of cert.pfx (it trying export file cert store ( cert:\localmachine\my ).
