How to fix battery problems in Ubuntu 16.04 Acer Laptop with 940 MX? - Ask Ubuntu


my laptop used 12 hours of battery life in windows. i'm getting 2-3 in ubuntu. windows had software shut off gpu unless required, don't think ubuntu has same functionality. i've looked tlp/powertop , bbswitch, can't figure out if bbswitch work 940 mx. there way can fix laptop's battery life?
