graphics - Ubuntu 16.04, RX 480, AMDGPU-Pro, monitor broken? - Ask Ubuntu

so i've got strange problem here. have rx 480, 3 monitors hooked up. 1 dvi-d, hdmi , displayport. working, wanted monitors display height aligned bit messing xrandr's --pos command , entered "wrong" apparently. displayport monitor appears have broken this, won't show signal anymore. doesn't show connected in way computer anymore -- not in bios worked previously. i've tried unplugging-replugging power , connection computer, removing , reinstalling amdgpu-pro drivers, deleting monitors.xml ... pretty think of can't monitor work @ anymore. dvi , hdmi monitors still work fine , driver working otherwise.. xrandr , these drivers have broken monitor?? seems bizarrely unlikely --pos

i don't have windows can't test in there...

dmesg shows following possibly interesting indecipherable errors on displayport..

solved. tried booting off of usb key didn't have drivers support rx 480. ;( new 1440p benq gw2765. fixed plugging computer via hdmi -- worked. plugged dp , continued work.

my guess monitor has kind of buggy behavior , needs treated kid gloves. well, cheap 27 inch 1440p, guess know why lol.
