nvidia - Ubuntu (15.10, 16.04, 16.10) freezes on resume from suspend (only on battery) - Ask Ubuntu


i've been struggling freezing issues on suspend/resume since got dell inspiron 7559 in april.

i've followed lot of posts regards problem haven't found solution yet.

some things know:

  • i tried using several kernel versions (currently using 4.8.1);
  • it freezes when computer on battery. when connected never happens;
  • sometimes freeze moment remove power cord;
  • after reset because of freezing, got xorg failure warnings;
  • tried using nvidia's both proprietary , open-source drivers (several versions, 370.28)
  • current grub config: grub_cmdline_linux="vga=0 atkdb.reset i8042.nomux quiet splash" (i've tried others)

the reason occurs on battery because it's configured don't suspend when connected.

can put me on right direction? appreciated. thanks

you may want try turning off power management wireless interface

how can prevent iwconfig power management being turned on?

windows - "-2146893807 NTE_NOT_FOUND" when repair certificate store - Super User

i try repair certificate store in windows 10 doing c:\windows\system32>certutil -store -user ‎330000019dba8d5dddb98062a900000000019d "personal" certutil: -store command failed: 0x80090011 (-2146893807 nte_not_found) certutil: object not found. i have double check mmc, certificate details serial number of certificate. still fail repair certificate store. can please help? i getting same error when trying export pfx. turns out had export c:\cert.pfx instead of cert.pfx (it trying export file cert store ( cert:\localmachine\my ).
