Can't boot 16.04.1 from USB on Windows 10 HP laptop - Ask Ubuntu
i have hp 15-u011dx (hp envy) laptop windows 10 on it. became interested in ubuntu , decided pny 64gb usb 3.0 flash drive can boot ubuntu there instead of installing on laptop. downloaded 16.04.1 (amd64) , used rufus create bootable usb drive of version using tutorial on site. however, laptop boots windows 10, after changing bios settings following:
does know issue be?
alright, figured out: trying run usb 3.0 port when wasn't booting up, tried on 2.0 port , worked fine. , noticed setting in bios called "usb3.0 configuration in pre-os," changed "enabled" "auto." this, can boot usb 3.0 port!
i think i'll keep other boot settings. anyway, guys!
