16.04 - Which component calls xrandr when I connect/disconnect a display? - Ask Ubuntu


when connect/disconnect display notebook, monitor layout adapted automatically. there way turn behavior off?

i have nonstandard monitor setup, applying panning , scaling. want full manual control on monitor setup. also, when try configure manually full tri-head setup, gnome freezes -- suspect related hot-plug detection want turn off.

i've looked in /etc/udev haven't found rules. turned off xrandr plugin unchecking org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.xrandr.active in dconf-editor no avail.

drivers - No wi-fi network after install - Ask Ubuntu

i installed ubuntu 16:10 on xiaomi air 13 "uncommon device know" i'm not able see wifi connection. problem occurred right after install, since before "during try ubuntu , installation" able see , connect w/out problem. if go settings -> network i'm not able turn on wifi "it switch off turn on". nothing in software , update -> more driver. what should ? :c edit:i able fix metod here wi-fi drivers laptop xiaomi air 13 but can't find programm/app on ubuntu software c. "like geany". problem somehow related fix found ?
