Where is the kernel documentation? - Ask Ubuntu


in centos can yum install kernel-doc , read /usr/share/doc/kernel-doc/documentation/filesystems/proc.txt.

how equivalent in ubuntu? professor google told me in source code did apt install linux-source can't find proc.txt anywhere.

i'm guessing there's different way of doing in ubuntu.

the package name linux-doc, after apt install linux-doc in /usr/share/doc/linux-doc.

in general called "kernel" in rh/centos land called "linux" in ubuntu since ubuntu based on debian has versions other kernels gnu hurd , bsd.
