apache2 - Shocked, content of my webroot on localhost could be seen on www - Ask Ubuntu
i new forum, , in doubt ask question, please guide me if not place ask.
well, got shocked today, realised content of /var/www/html folder accesible www on domain olsenweb .dk - without java script enabled in browser. have installed amp server on desktop , use desktop. have used devise on network, can not use localhost have reconfigure apace , change ip address, e.g. 192.168.1.10. anyway sure had actively publish content www.
i not understand happening, can not access device if apace configuret localhost, can access content remote web page on www? router/firewall should concerned about? unfortunately know little network, firewalls , apache.
edit: can see localhost content shown in frame:
<frameset cols="100%"> <frame name="gratisdns" frameborder="0" framespacing="0" framepadding="0" src="http://joltestserver.cloudapp.net"> </frameset>
so might not accessible www me, 'localhost' changed 'joltestserver.cloudapp.net' in browser? olsenweb apparently hosted on joltestserver.cloudapp.net
edit 2:
ping joltestserver.cloudapp.net
ping joltestserver.cloudapp.net (127.0.0.1) 56(84) bytes of data.
64 bytes localhost (127.0.0.1): icmp_seq=1 ttl=64 time=0.017 ms ...
edit 3:
i have added dns tag - wondring if misconfigured dns joltestserver.cloudapp.net combined redirect olsenweb?
at time of writing, joltestserver.cloudapp.net
resolves 0.0.0.0
:
dns server handling query: 8.8.8.8 dns server's address: 8.8.8.8#53 non-authoritative answer: name: joltestserver.cloudapp.net address: 0.0.0.0
0.0.0.0
special address special meaning - , if try connect it, ubuntu treats 127.0.0.1
== localhost
or "this machine".
(why they'd want have dns entry set 0.0.0.0
don't know.)
