apt - The default "Ubuntu Software" package manager does not open. How can I fix this? - Ask Ubuntu


i have freshly installed ubuntu 16 lts on system. i've installed few programs (just normal applications 1 may use, nothing odd). ubuntu software won't open. mouse cursor changes loading spinner , remains way few seconds, no window or error message appears.

i've installed synaptic , "ubuntu software center" using following command (sudo apt install software-center). works fine, i'd fix original package manager don't have 2 ubuntu software centers on hard drive taking space.
