networking - Ubuntu 16.04 LTS Network Manager cannot add VPN - greyed out - Ask Ubuntu

i'm trying add vpn network, option greyed out.

screenshot of greyed-out indicator

i installed network-manager-openvpn still no luck. editing connection not show vpn settings or tabs.

i'd appreciate if point me in right direction!

edit: in case else has issue, wording "add vpn connection" super misleading it's telling you need add vpn connection, not supposed click add 1 there.

so select edit connections, add, , select vpn there.
