Can't boot Windows 7 after installing Ubuntu - Ask Ubuntu

i installed ubuntu yesterday alongside windows 7 , whenever start computer don't have option boot windows. when computer starts goes straight ubuntu without giving me os selection menu. when goes ubuntu gives me ubuntu repair options , ubuntu normal start option. still have of windows 7 files on hard drive, windows 7 has no way boot.

first thing first, need repair win7 bootloader, , can visit this page learn how this. write down on piece of paper required commands fixing both boot , mbr. you'll using codes after getting command prompt screen.

next can download boot repair iso image suggested in previous answer 'user3005324'. choose 64 bit iso image if have installed ubuntu 64 bit or choose 32 bit iso image if have ubuntu 32 bit. hope win7 same architecture ubuntu, mean have either win7 32 bit , ubuntu 32 bit, or have win7 64 bit , ubuntu 64 bit.

burn iso image, , restart computer new boot repair cd in tray. can write boot repair iso image on usb pendrive unetbootin tool if don't have regular cd use. read instructions on how use unetbootin in linux/ubuntu, located @ middle of page: http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/ .

after boot repair cd or usb pendrive finish loading, can press 'recommended repair' option, wait finish , after message 'success' can reboot , use win7 , ubuntu present both in start-up boot menu.
