games - The settlers 3, wine and DirectX - Ask Ubuntu


i have here gold edition of "the settlers 3" , wanted play on ubuntu machine, somehow not work. installed wine, installed "the settlers 3", when want start is, error:

"the settlers iii needs @ least directx 3.0 run."

but when want install dx7a.exe cd, getting error:

the package "microsoft directx 7.0a-setup" not compatible installed version of windows.

which clear, because have ubuntu installed , not windows.

so how working.

first run this:

winetricks quartz

i assume installed wine apt install wine comes winetricks.

then install game normally.

i recommend flawlessly installation use crossover instead of plain wine: https://www.codeweavers.com/compatibility/crossover/screenshot/settlers-3

windows - "-2146893807 NTE_NOT_FOUND" when repair certificate store - Super User

i try repair certificate store in windows 10 doing c:\windows\system32>certutil -store -user ‎330000019dba8d5dddb98062a900000000019d "personal" certutil: -store command failed: 0x80090011 (-2146893807 nte_not_found) certutil: object not found. i have double check mmc, certificate details serial number of certificate. still fail repair certificate store. can please help? i getting same error when trying export pfx. turns out had export c:\cert.pfx instead of cert.pfx (it trying export file cert store ( cert:\localmachine\my ).
