linux - Should I pitch Ubuntu to virus victims? - Super User

i've noticed on regular basis see facebook statuses complaining viruses (e.g. "sorry haven't been on in few days... comp got socked virus , had reinstall everything")

lately i've taken commenting on these link ubuntu short testimonial how i've been using ubuntu exclusively years , have not had virus problems since (nor have installed anti-virus software).

on flipside, know ubuntu not savior computer problems, , has own issues, want let people know there choice out there, , can choose if rather deal windows' issues or ubuntu's issues. many users, ubuntu make lot of sense.

but response these comments, , wonder if should stop bothering. think good? maybe aggravates people? maybe have no idea i'm talking , link post makes no sense them? thoughts?

i've been using ubuntu exclusively years , have not had virus problems since (nor have installed anti-virus software).

i've been using windows exclusively years , have not had virus problems since windows xp rtm (nor have installed anti-virus software). should pitch windows virus victims?

user education goes long way.
