nvidia - Unity 7 window spread lag - Ask Ubuntu


on ubuntu 16.04 box when press ctrl+w takes 1 second before window spread animation starts. animation smooth though. issue not hardware issue rest of system smooth , responsive, window spread effect slow. on laptop i7 quad core, 32 gb ddr4 ram, nvidia gtx 980m 8gb vram using binary driver, laptop monitor running @ 1080p plus external monitors running @ 1200p. idea how fix this?
