15.10 - Screen crash in Lubuntu and Xubuntu both but works fine with Windows Xp - Ask Ubuntu


windows xp works fine on desktop of 8 years old having 512 mb ram , intel 2.6 ghz processor. switched lubuntu screen crashes if open it's software centre or browse internet. crashes while opening multiple files @ once. can fix this? screen okay while small memory tasks done screen crashes .

the version of lubuntu using died (reached end of life) yesterday: (http://fridge.ubuntu.com/2016/07/28/ubuntu-15-10-wily-werewolf-end-of-life-reached-on-july-28-2016/)

given have 512mb of ram suggest installing lubuntu 14.04 or xubuntu 14.04 instead of 16.04 counterparts.

if i'd buy new used computer couple hundred dollars 100 times better current setup , run ubuntu 16.04 / 16.10.

drivers - No wi-fi network after install - Ask Ubuntu

i installed ubuntu 16:10 on xiaomi air 13 "uncommon device know" i'm not able see wifi connection. problem occurred right after install, since before "during try ubuntu , installation" able see , connect w/out problem. if go settings -> network i'm not able turn on wifi "it switch off turn on". nothing in software , update -> more driver. what should ? :c edit:i able fix metod here wi-fi drivers laptop xiaomi air 13 but can't find programm/app on ubuntu software c. "like geany". problem somehow related fix found ?
