boot - Kubuntu Live DVD kernel panic or blinking cursor - Ask Ubuntu


i'm trying install amd64 version of kubuntu (latest stable version) on pc. managed splah screen, when try boot kubuntu live shows screen tgis error: kernel panic: not syncing, attempted kill idle task.

i tryed enable f6 options noacpi, nolacpi , nomodeset of them lands me in black screen blinking white cursor.

does know how fix?

edit: not running vm

edit #2: hardware specs: acerpower m8 pc 2gb ram , nvidia gt 240 gpu

drivers - No wi-fi network after install - Ask Ubuntu

i installed ubuntu 16:10 on xiaomi air 13 "uncommon device know" i'm not able see wifi connection. problem occurred right after install, since before "during try ubuntu , installation" able see , connect w/out problem. if go settings -> network i'm not able turn on wifi "it switch off turn on". nothing in software , update -> more driver. what should ? :c edit:i able fix metod here wi-fi drivers laptop xiaomi air 13 but can't find programm/app on ubuntu software c. "like geany". problem somehow related fix found ?
