partitioning - Ubuntu 16.04 on a 32GB USB stick won't boot - Ask Ubuntu
i used ubuntu live usb installer install ubuntu on 32gb usb stick carry linux around me in case need (i find useful troubleshooting issues windows unhelpful with).
i followed answer on site told first create swap space primary partition , ext4 partition logical partition mount point /
, both of created "at beginning" of drive.
after completing installation, rebooted , found first of 32 gb stick not listed uefi bios boot select menu, , secondly when selected attempt boot, failed , went straight boot windows.
i guessing missing uefi partition or on drive, not made clear in installation guides have seen , have thought ubuntu installer have dealt me? how work when installing regular sata disk?
