unity - Run libreoffice as snap application - Ask Ubuntu
i've installed libreoffice 5.2.3 snap on notebook
sudo snap install libreoffice libreoffice (stable) 5.2.3.2 'canonical' installed
now, i'd run it. however, calling unity menu or evoking command line starts libreoffice 5.2.2.2
do need remove libreoffice came through apt? isn't supposed independent container, should able run without removing older version.
if still have libreoffice .debs installed you're using launchers version instead of snapped versions. found confusing have 2 sets of icons removed .deb version.
after followed these instructions able remove duplicate launchers , ones come snapped libreoffice.
for reference .desktop files make launchers located in /var/lib/snapd/desktop/applications
as of answer, icons launch libreoffice fine, me show blank icons instead of usual icons, suspect bug:
there still appear few bugs launchers snapped applications, these might of interest (thanks rinzwind finding these):
