ubuntu gnome - Upgrade 16.10 problem: only background and pointer after login - Ask Ubuntu


definition:

after upgrading 16.04 16.10, ubuntu login show background , pointer. no dash, no launcher, no access keyboard, cannot summon terminal (ctrl+alt+t or ctrl+f2). if select unity8 session same thing. if select gnome, works fine after turning screen black second.

diagnostic:

same problem described people upgrading 16.04

problems after upgrading 14.04 (only background , pointer after login)

and

unity doesn't load, no launcher, no dash appears

but solutions given not works me (mainly --reinstall ubuntu-desktop). seems related nvidia graphic card , driver problem indeed running (nvs5100m, driver 340.98).

getting worst before getting better:

i try change display manager lightdm gdm3:

sudo dpkg-reconfigure lightdm

bad decision: had black screen instead of login. ctrl+f1 gave me error message:

"a start job running hold until boot process finishes up"

i followed instruction link:

cannot boot system due start job running hold

after restart, ubuntu session working fine. have no clue why, guys better figure out because horrible , lost 6 hours today trying fix $hit!

windows - "-2146893807 NTE_NOT_FOUND" when repair certificate store - Super User

i try repair certificate store in windows 10 doing c:\windows\system32>certutil -store -user ‎330000019dba8d5dddb98062a900000000019d "personal" certutil: -store command failed: 0x80090011 (-2146893807 nte_not_found) certutil: object not found. i have double check mmc, certificate details serial number of certificate. still fail repair certificate store. can please help? i getting same error when trying export pfx. turns out had export c:\cert.pfx instead of cert.pfx (it trying export file cert store ( cert:\localmachine\my ).
