How can I set up cron so it stores its output locally for me to read with mail? - Ask Ubuntu


i have cronjob setup on machine. sometimes, job misbehaves. i'd read output locally mail unix program.

if attempt run mail, command-not-found suggests install mailutils, , when do, ubuntu starts wonderful journey setting actual smtp server. eeeeek!

i want "mail" sit in /var/spool or whatever.

how can achieve this?
