this question has answer here:

as can see in below screenshot, partitions empty.

enter image description here

i installed ubuntu today, had created brand new partition support ubuntu os. however, after partitioned windows 7 partition no longer works @ all. @ point not care restoring windows 7 os, want combine larger unallocated partition of +600gb new ubuntu partition. have installed gparted , read other forums on issue. however, whenever try have suggested (as far can tell) resize/move adjusts size of current partition. has nothing combining 2 separate partitions (which both primary). many other suggestions wanted me delete partition file system on it. can't because file system using won't let me delete it.

i can't think of do. worried have ruined computer.

here go...

first, backup data on sda3 , sda4!

boot ubuntu live dvd/usb , start gparted

  1. right-click on partition sda4 , delete it
  2. right-click on partition sda3 , select move/resize
  3. place mouse pointer in center of partition, , icon change hand
  4. drag partition way left
  5. drag partition's right handle way right
  6. click apply icon
  7. reboot, , restore sda4 data sda3
