keyboard - 16.04 Shortcuts launching programs (Terminal, Nautilus) not working anymore - Ask Ubuntu
standard shortcut ctrl + alt + t open terminal doesn't work anymore. custom shortcut super + e open nautilus doesn't work anymore.
both worked fine until reboot. thing did in between messing display resolution:
- created new cvt line
- added resolution via
xrandr
- applied resolution
i did before, restarted in between. no problem. new thing did time was:
- tried make change persistent creating .xprofile file suggested here: how save new resolution setting xrandr?
other shortcuts, alt + f4 still working. tried assign new shortcut "launch" operations didn't work well.
probably not keyboard hardware related issue, it's neither working on notebook's internal keyboard nor external one.
sudo rm -rf ~/.config
seems temporary (hardcore) solution problem. deletes desktop settings.
this works, problem reappeared after failed attempt change resolution again mentioned above. long don't choose display resolution fails set, problem doesn't reappear.
