system installation - Are Ubuntu CDs still available? - Ask Ubuntu
as celebrate 12th birthday of ubuntu, on the announcement of 4.10 warty warthog, , see then, in 2004 (woah), way ubuntu cd, , request 1 here, unfortunately, specific site no longer exists, , ubuntulinux.org redirects ubuntu.com.
so has happened since, , many ubuntu versions (lts & not) have been published, cd/dvd support have end, that's seperate question. know cds out of date, it's flash past think it. there still cds made? if not, when did cd support end?
the official program of shipping free cds long since dead. links obsolete, shipit program discontinued in 2011 11.04.
there used cds on canonical / ubuntu store, seems provide bootable usb stick category now, , provide 16.04 sticks.
there third-party companies such osdisk.com sell , ship ubuntu cds/dvds, , software repository dvd sets, not free. osdisk @ least appear worldwide shipping, don't think it's free unless you're buying $20 or more of disks.
so, options purchase usb media canonical, or purchase cds third-party provider, or download ubuntu , create installation media yourself. (there no more "official cd/dvds" anymore)
