14.04 - How to install Ubuntu in my pc when i don't have enough space in C:\ drive? - Ask Ubuntu


i want install ubuntu alongside windows 10 (which installed in pc) in pc, trying shrink volume of c:\ drive disk management c:\ drive don't have enough space . work if shrink d:\ or e:\ drive in stead of c:\?

i tried using usb drive downloading unetbootin found no result.

please give detailed explanation if possible.

you can use utility gparted within live usb or cd install resize disk offline. should come preinstalled if not can run 'sudo apt-get install gparted' install it.

i happen find 'universal usb installer' easiest use on windows whenever try make bootable usb key.
