16.04 - System suspend by itself abnormally - Ask Ubuntu


i new linux system , when finish installing ubuntu 16.04, system works fine @ first. when close lid, , re-open lid, computer cannot wake up.

then find has same problem on forum , learn upgrade kernel 4.8.0 default kernel 4.4.0 following post.then computer can wake after re-open lid! , suspension problem seems solved.

however, computer begin suspend every several seconds. every time wake it, , suspend again (unless choose 'do nothing' 'suspend' in power settings). read many posts, of them cannot wake after suspension, haven't seen person ask same problem yet.

in short, problem is: computer keep suspending every several seconds after re-open lid. can solve problem turn off 'suspend', hope find way solve problem.

i not computer science student still not @ level of debugging such problem myself. appreciate if me.

i temporarily solve choose 'do nothing' when closing lid in power settings, , every time use 'sudo pm-suspend' suspend system. (i find computer works fine when suspend using terminal)

still don't know reason question.
