Questions about snap - Ask Ubuntu


i installed libreoffice , other programs snap, , have 2 question right now:

  1. it seems program cannot read outside of ~/snap/name_of_app/. guess security reasons, but...is there way read files outside of folder? mean, put stuff ~/document folder example , want snap version of libreoffice read it.
  2. the libreoffice package doesn't come traditional chinese interface language. there's no lang pack can install snap. chance can copy-paste language files folders, or add language in way?

i'm running 16.04 x64 btw if makes difference. in advance.

normally should have happened automatically, can connect libreoffice /home directory manually. open terminal , execute following command : sudo snap connect libreoffice:home ubuntu-core:home.

check whether libreoffice connected /home directory running following snap command : snap interfaces

you can try copy on language files /snap directory, think not idea, might break things. please bare in mind snap packaging - flatpak other distros - still relatively new technology.

drivers - No wi-fi network after install - Ask Ubuntu

i installed ubuntu 16:10 on xiaomi air 13 "uncommon device know" i'm not able see wifi connection. problem occurred right after install, since before "during try ubuntu , installation" able see , connect w/out problem. if go settings -> network i'm not able turn on wifi "it switch off turn on". nothing in software , update -> more driver. what should ? :c edit:i able fix metod here wi-fi drivers laptop xiaomi air 13 but can't find programm/app on ubuntu software c. "like geany". problem somehow related fix found ?
