16.40LT boot win usb inserted - Ask Ubuntu


booting 16.04 dt, out event, 64gb usb inserted (not booting or install from), after bios boot computer hangs @ black screen blinking text cursor , not load, although reboot. removing usb drive , rebooting computer loads should, 5 seconds.

would please direct me proper resource on computer detail anomaly or if know of similar experience please forward details me.

in bios, reorder list of boot devices. adding temporary usb disk causes boot device (sda) placed off active boot disk , believe time element required bios search usb drive suitable boot in process , terminated assuming computer had hung up. mistake bios configuration , i've been doing stuff 35+ years....

i'm having issue combo. i'm trying set lacp bond using ubuntu 16.04 , cisco sg-300. have cisco configured lacp on 2 server's ports . in ubuntu have following config: # /etc/network/interfaces auto lo iface lo inet loopback auto eno1 iface eno1 inet manual bond-master bond0 auto eno2 iface eno2 inet manual bond-master bond0 auto bond0 iface bond0 inet static address 10.0.0.5 gateway 10.0.0.1 netmask 255.255.255.0 dns-nameserver 8.8.8.8 bond-mode 4 bond-miimon 100 bond-lacp-rate 1 bond-slaves eno1 eno2 xmit_hash_policy 0 this works has 1 issue. whenever system started [eno1 seems grab static ip bond0 10.0.0.5 , 10.0.0.5 unreachable on network. if 'ifdown eno1 && ifup eno1' bond grab 10.0.0.5 , start working normally. have clue why slave device grabbing static ip meant bond0 that? there static configuration in /etc/dhcpcd.conf. not sure how got there since i've used static on box. removed offending lines file removing dhcpcd5 pack...
