boot - "No bootable devices found" after formating SD card by $ dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sda bs=4MB - Ask Ubuntu
i trying format -4gb- sd card, failed format directly, found can 0 out by:
sudo unmount /dev/sda sudo dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sda bs=4mb
after running these commands, stopped process take time, after while browser stopped , couldn't open again, tried log out , sign in again working again, laptop froze time did force shutdown.. turned on again each time
no bootable devices found
how can laptop working again without losing data?

when unmounted /dev/sda
(which nothing, way), targeting computer's hard drive. same command broke everything. let's break down:
sudo dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sda bs=4mb
in command, you're overwriting /dev/sda
(your hard drive) /dev/zero
(or no data). called dangerous idea, , why should really triple-check dd
commands. data erased gone forever 0 hope of recovery.
now, possibly use photorec (works on non-photos, too!) recover files possibly spared being destroyed command, no longer able recover everything. if try photorec
, use live image, , don't touch drive.
