keyboard - How to reset xkb? - Ask Ubuntu


i modified /usr/share/x11/xkb/symbols/pc file. after doing so, end , pgdn keys no longer work. did not file, attempted restore manually no results. ctrl/shift+end/pgdn still works, end/pgdn doesn't register key code in xkeybind or in browser.

how reset xkb default?

i'm running mint 18.

i've researched extensively no avail, , have found similar questions here, no 1 quite same problem.
