Edit Cutecom Launcher icon 16.04 - Ask Ubuntu


cutecom installed on 16.04: launcher icon identical terminal icon. procedure change icon?

you want edit cutecom's .desktop file, location /usr/share/applications/kde/cutecom.desktop

edit icon= line location/name of icon want use. single user use can put icon in pictures folder, multi-user use place /usr/share/pixmaps or /usr/share/app-install/icons (or icon folder in /usr

then edit .desktop using full path, ex. here placed terminal.svg in pictures folder, using nano root, edit line 7, using full path terminal.svg

sudo nano /usr/share/applications/kde/cutecom.desktop

if you're not happy icon try find 48x48 svg, can upload red 1 if you'd like..
