mute - Start without any sound? - Ask Ubuntu


this question has answer here:

how can disable startup-sound? mean drums when login. edit: have tried disabling gnome login sound, keeps drumming.

and set volume muted sticks? when press mute on keyboard first keypress seems lower volume instead, , plays sound. second keypress works.

i start without sound @ all.

just log out, click on little speaker icon in upper right hand corner of login screen. set volume here mute.
