virtualbox - Lightest Weight Windows for .Net 2.0? - Super User


[preamble: on mac , i've ported my favorite program mono, mostly... i'm beginning give on implementation of winforms. it's surely impressive , has been result of massive amount of work, when deep details, it's quite different. , getting working on osx huge task]

as guest in virtualbox, lightest weight windows can run run .net 2.0? interested in programs lighten windows... don't need lot of functionality.

you want windows xp embedded. don't let term embedded scare though. it's merely windows xp altered highly modular , configurable. can run tight kernel controller embedded app or full-blown xp world familiar if decide kitchen sink (all components.)

if don't want mess embedded then see: supported operating systems: windows 2000 service pack 3; windows 98; windows 98 second edition; windows me; windows server 2003; windows xp service pack 2

Windows XP installation, no previous version of Windows NT - Super User
