boot - I fear that my hard drive may be about to break

this question has answer here:

whenever boot computer, there's brief interruption in otherwise normal boot process. black background white text, along these lines showing:

/dev/sda2 clean: <number>/<bigger number> blocks

or, perhaps scarier:

/dev/sda2 clean: <number>/<bigger number> blocks <number>/<bigger number> <number>/<bigger number>

so on , forth. question this: hard drive die?
