multiple monitors - Turn off a screen in terminal - Ask Ubuntu


hoy.

i have multi monitor setup , when watching movies i'd turn off or black out other screens.

i've tried

xset -display :0 dpms force off

and

xset -display :0.0 dpms force off

however turns screens off. echo $display prints :0 .

does know magic?

i don't know how did setup monitors can use xrandr turn off screen this:

xrandr --output vga1 --off

which turns off monitor connected vga1. can change vga1 edp, hdmi, etc.
