rsync - Character set fuss after migrating from Windows 10 to Kubuntu - Ask Ubuntu


i've migrated windows 10 kubuntu in august.

since then, data backup persistent problem. works, files special characters (german umlaute ä ö ü ) make problems.

i wouldn't mind if these characters not displayed. system can't read files anymore. data synchronisation rsync sometomes works , not - same drives.

i've spent days , think understand basic things character sets.

what i've noticed dolphin (the file explorer) displays same file in 1 or other character set. e.g. file "Ü" displayed later (without reboot) "Ã" example.

drivers - No wi-fi network after install - Ask Ubuntu

i installed ubuntu 16:10 on xiaomi air 13 "uncommon device know" i'm not able see wifi connection. problem occurred right after install, since before "during try ubuntu , installation" able see , connect w/out problem. if go settings -> network i'm not able turn on wifi "it switch off turn on". nothing in software , update -> more driver. what should ? :c edit:i able fix metod here wi-fi drivers laptop xiaomi air 13 but can't find programm/app on ubuntu software c. "like geany". problem somehow related fix found ?
