Severe delay when performing "sudo apt-get update" after upgrade to 16.10 - Ask Ubuntu


after upgrading 16.04 16.10

"sudo apt-get update" stalls long time when connecting us.archive.ubuntu.com

i not have issue on other computers running 16.04 or 16.10

so not internet issue.

change software download server us.archive.ubuntu.com archive.ubuntu.com :

update addressing comment don't have problem on other machines :
check /etc/apt/sources.list , entries in /etc/apt/sources.list.d folder.
remove incorrect entries (in case there some) , replace them the original ones.
run sudo apt update again, should work fine, way expected.
