Ubuntu 14.04: Videos playing twice as fast; no sound - Ask Ubuntu
i've got annoying problem have no sound on machine, , youtube videos playing twice fast. i've googled , tried solutions no avail; none of sound settings change (they're set default analog output (built-in audio) , analog stereo output, none of other options change anything), doing pulseaudio -k doesn't fix anything, , doing pulseaudio afterwards gives me these errors:
e: [pulseaudio] pid.c: daemon running. e: [pulseaudio] main.c: pa_pid_file_create() failed.
doing pulseaudio -d
gives me:
pulseaudio: invalid option -- 'd' e: [pulseaudio] main.c: failed parse command line.
i installed pavucontrol , disabled video card output (in 'configuration' tab turned hda nvidia profile 'off'), , set built-in audio analog stereo output, nothing. in default sound settings use audio tester , nothing, both analog output , digital output options. makes no difference if i'm using headphones or not (when plug them in they're detected third option).
...so don't know else try. i'm running normal set of speakers audio-out jack on motherboard (z170-hd3 ddr3).
edit: running aplay -l result
