ADSL router not working with Ubuntu Server 16.04.1 LTS - Ask Ubuntu


the same adsl router (huawei hg633) works fine ubuntu desktop when connected on wifi, when try doing "sudo apt update" on newly-installed ubuntu server 16.04.1 doesn't detect internet. connected router using ethernet cable.

is known issue ubuntu server , adsl routers?

Windows XP installation, no previous version of Windows NT - Super User
